Durant’s Karah Boydstun – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Vision Bank

Durant High School junior Karah Boydstun is passionate about soccer. Karah plays the positions of both forward and attacking midfielder.

In regard to a favorite memory that Karah has thus far in her soccer career, she stated, “The highlight moment of my career is growing up and watching my sisters play soccer then getting to be coached through high school by one of them.”

Karah looks towards two family members that have been her role models.

“The people who influence me the most are my sister and my dad because they push me to achieve higher.”

Behind every athlete is a motivating force that pushes them. Karah stated, “What motivates me the most is failure, because it makes me work harder to succeed.”

When asked what it has taken to be a success in soccer, Karah stated, “It has taken lots of blood, sweat, and tears, literally. It has also taken a lot of time and effort. I am always striving to find ways to improve my work ethic and way of play.”

In terms of a teacher that has impacted Karah, she looks towards her faith. Karah explained. “A teacher that has made and incredible impact on my life and will continue to is my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is my rock and the reason I have the ability to play the sport that I love, and I am eternally thankful.”

In addition to playing for the Durant Lady Lions soccer team, Karah currently plays soccer for the Solar Club of North Texas. Karah will be registering and trying out for them again this year.
