OFFENSE
Caddo has a lot of experience returning in its offensive backfield in senior quarterback Coltin Speers (5-9, 175) and junior running back Brady Braziell (5-10, 150). Speers completed 10 of 16 passes for 233 yards with four touchdowns against Velma-Alma as a junior in 2002. Braziell combined to rush for 212 yards on 15 carries with three touchdowns in two of Caddo’s contests last season. Leading the offensive line for the Bruins in 2023 will be junior Austin Lackey and junior Charles Phillips. “Lots of experience coming back in the backfield with QB Coltin Speers and RB Brady Braziell leading the majority of snaps. O-Line will be led by C Austin Lackey,” Caddo head coach Trent Harmon said. Junior Jake Mullens is an explosive skill position player who will play at the wide receiver and running back positions.
DEFENSE
The defense will be carried by an experienced secondary with returnees Dax Proctor (5-8, 135, Sr.) and Jake Mullins at the cornerback positions. “Defensive secondary should be a bright spot for us,” Harmon said. Sophomore Boen Proctor had a great spring and is expected to solidify a linebacker position, and Colton Speers will also see time defensively as a linebacker and will be a physical force for the Bruins.
