9 Questions with Durant’s Abrianna Freeman Presented by QC Kinetix

VYPE: Who has been your favorite coach throughout your career and how did they impact you as a player?
Abrianna Freeman: Coach LaSha Cook is my favorite coach I have ever had. She would always push me to do my best and you can tell she actually likes coaching by the way she coaches.


VYPE: Did you have any teammates that you admire or that supported you?
AF: Sydney Grover has helped me so much since getting to high school.


VYPE: Who was your favorite teacher and how were they influential in your life?
AF: Coach Parr; she has influenced my life by having a safe place for us. If something is going on, you will have someone to talk about it to if you’re not at home.


VYPE: What preparation have you taken this off-season to better equip yourself for the upcoming season?
AF: I was staying in the gym a lot and lifting to get stronger for the season.


VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
AF: The sport has taught me how to handle adversity.


VYPE: What has been your favorite memory in your sport?
AF: Having my dad always in the gym helping me with everything I need to work on. He has taught me everything I know.


VYPE: What do you hope to accomplish this season (individual or team goals)?
AF: One goal I have for my team is to make it far in the playoffs.


VYPE: What matchup are you most looking forward to this season?
AF: When we get to play McAlester again.


VYPE: What are your plans after high school?
AF: I want to play college basketball and become an athletic trainer.
