9 Questions with Antlers’ Bryce McGee – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by McCurtain County National Bank

VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models? Why?

Bryce McGee: God is my biggest influence. Reading his scripture motivates to become a better person and I wouldn’t be in the same spot today without him.

VYPE: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life? How?

BM: Mr. Culley, he has showed me how to become a well-rounded adult, how to respect others and associate with people properly.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?

BM: Starting out as the worst player on the team, I learned that hard work and dedication will make you successful in any kind of sport but also life.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?

BM: The highlight of my career is going out and having fun with my friends out on the court.

VYPE: Is there an opponent that you enjoy beating the most? Why?

BM: I focus one game at a time, there’s no particular team I want to take down. I just want to win.

VYPE: What motivates you?

BM: My dad is my motivation; he makes me strive to be the best on and off the court.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most with in practice? Why?

BM: Mathew Brame; he’s always competitive, works hard and motivates me to do better every day.

VYPE: What clubs and campus activities are you involved with?

BM: I am involved in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Gear-Up, basketball and track.

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?

BM: I like to represent my school and community by getting involved in volunteer work or getting involved in groupsto bring teachers, student and parents together.
