Durant’s Aubrey Tomlinson – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Cherokee Comunications

VYPE: What year are you, what sports do you play and what activities are you involved with?

Aubrey Tomlinson: I am a senior. I play soccer and softball and those are the only activities i’m involved in.

VYPE: How long have you been playing soccer and softball?

AT: I have played softball and soccer all 4 years of high school and since I was 4 years old.

VYPE: What do you love most about each?

AT: I love all of the memories and friends that they both have given me.

VYPE: What’s your favorite color?

AT: Green.

VYPE: What are your goals for the rest of this soccer season?

AT: To make playoffs and then hopefully win state for the first time.

VYPE: What’s it going to take to make that happen?

AT: For us to work as a team and put games together.

VYPE: What’s one thing everybody should know about you but most don’t?

AT: I am very interested in photography. I have my own camera. I am also going to UCO to study interior design.

VYPE: How did you get into photography?

AT: I’ve always loved photography. You get to capture a lot of memories and memorable moments with loved ones and friends. Now that I am a senior, I have found myself taking a lot more pictures with my friends that I might not see a lot after graduation.

VYPE: How important are your friendships?

AT: They are very important to me. They make me who I am.

VYPE: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

AT: I see myself working in an architectural business as an interior designer.

VYPE: Who do you want to thank for all of your success these past four years?

AT: I want to thank my parents for shaping me into the person I am today, and I would like to thank my soccer coach, Katie Williams, for keeping me strong not just physically but mentally.
