STRINGTOWN TIGERS
Coach: Shane Winter
Last Year: 8-15
The Tigers have high hopes to bounce back to the tradition of winning basketball this season as Shane Winter enters his 18th year on the bench. Senior leadership and experience is a plus with the return of two starters including VYPE Top 100 nominee Karter Florence (6-4, Sr G) who averaged 13.5 points per contest while grabbing 6.2 rebounds and three assists joined by Remmick Smith 6-2, Sr. G) who totaled 13-plus points per game while dishing out five assists plus securing five rebounds each night.
“Karter and Remmick make us go. They not only have the skill set to be productive but also exhibit the leadership to help with the maturity of our younger kids,” said Winter.
A trio of sophomores will bring energy and desire to floor including Landen Manion (5-8, So. G), Brance Crow 6-0, So. G) and Michael Harper (6-3, So. F) who will add size to the Tigers lineup.
“It’s still a work in progress start this season that will mature and be in the mix by the time playoffs come around,” said Winter.
