CADDO BRUINS
Coach: Dustin McKay
OUTLOOK
With a mix of veteran leadership and fresh talent, the Caddo Lady Bruins enter the upcoming slow-pitch softball season with a new look and a determination to keep their winning tradition alive under head coach Dustin McKay.
“We will definitely be a different team than in the past with some new younger players,” said McKay. “We will be very athletic in the outfield, and the long ball will not come into play as much as in the past. We will have to manufacture runs and leave minimal baserunners. We still have some pieces and some leaders in the lineup.”
Among those key pieces are the team’s three seniors — Presley Beck, Kayden Cowan, and Brylee Tyson — each of whom will play a vital role in the Lady Bruins’ offensive production and leadership. “Senior Presley Beck and senior Kayden Cowan along with the third and final senior Brylee Tyson will be expected to drive runs in along with sophomore Brylee Daniel,” McKay said.

At the heart of the roster is Presley Beck, the team’s cornerstone in both the infield and the lineup. “Presley Beck is a senior first baseman/pitcher that has signed with the University of Omaha Nebraska as a catcher,” said McKay. “Presley will be expected to lead and help captain the infield and drive runs in in order for us to be successful. Presley is a great kid that puts the extra work in and is very competitive at the plate.”
Another major contributor for Caddo this season will be Brylee Daniel, a young, talented hitter whose potential continues to rise. “Brylee has been a good hitter that hits toward the top of the lineup,” McKay said. “Brylee plays a lot of softball in the summers and continues to get better in all aspects of the game. The ceiling for Brylee is very high.”
With Beck’s leadership, Cowan and Tyson’s experience, and Daniel’s emerging talent, Caddo heads into the spring confident in its new identity. “We still have some pieces and some leaders in the lineup,” McKay said, “and we’re looking forward to seeing what this group can accomplish.”
