2026 Antlers Bearcats Football Preview – Presented by McCurtain County National Bank

ANTLERS BEARCATS

Coach: KENON WHITE

5-6

Antlers expects to blend experience with youth in 2026 and continue shaping an identity built on relentlessness and toughness. The staff says they “look to have a good mixture of experience and youth” and “pride our self on being a relentless tough football program,” which fits a roster that returns multiple starters on both sides of the ball. With six offensive and five defensive starters back, the Bearcats believe their physical style can keep them in the thick of the Class 2A race.

Offensively, Antlers will build around a “doubles” base formation and an up‑tempo, physical mindset. White notes, “Doubles is our base formation. We like to play fast and physical,” pointing to a spread look that still emphasizes power in the run game. Senior quarterback Ethan Williams (6-1, 180) is the engine after totaling 541 passing yards, 536 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns, making him a true dual‑threat. He’s protected by a big senior line featuring VYPE Top 100 nominee Preston Cannon (6-5, 305) and Cole Park (6-4, 255) and surrounded by skill talents like junior running back Tyler Woodall (5-10, 175), sophomore back Blaze Jones (5-10, 180) and senior receiver Charlie Walls (5-11, 180).

Defensively, the Bearcats will operate from a 3‑4 front with a clear, aggressive mission. White describes it simply: “3-4 base defense. Limit TDs and take the ball away,” underscoring an emphasis on red‑zone toughness and turnovers. Senior linebacker Keaston Berrick (5-11, 195) is the tone‑setter after recording 109 tackles and four sacks, while senior safety Gavin Brown (5-10, 175) and senior OLB Skyler Beasley (5-10, 180) each logged 50 tackles. Up front, senior defensive tackle Talon Hennery (5-10, 270) returns after posting 40 tackles and nine tackles for loss, joined by senior linebacker Kade Fench (45 tackles) to anchor a front seven that should again play downhill. With that core and a scheme geared toward physicality and takeaways, Antlers aims to make opponents earn every yard.
